Tracy Krohn

The owner of Krohn Racing, drives the No. 76 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola with Nic Jönsson, Ricardo Zonta and Colin Braun at Rolex 24 At Daytona. Also competes in 2012 FIA WEC with Jönsson and Michele Rugolo Won “Jim Trueman Award” for Grand-Am Sportsman drivers in 2007. Competed in Grand-Am Series since 2004, climbing from Grand-Am Cup to Prototype and competing in American Le Mans Series since 2007. Drove the No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari 430 GTE with teammates Nic Jönsson and Michele Rugolo in GTE-Am in ILMC Series in 2011. Class winner at the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans, podium finish at 6 Hours of Zhuhai (China). Finished third in GT2 class in Ferrari 430 GT in 24 Hours of Le Mans 2009 and second at 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2007 and third at March 2008 12 Hours of Sebring.

GTE-Am class winner at two 2011 ILMC U.S. rounds of 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans; third at 6 Hours of Zhuhai (China), finished 8th at Spa 1000km, DNF at 24 Hours of Le Mans and seventh at 6 Hours of Imola and 6 Hours of Silverstone. Finished second in points in 2011 ILMC GTE-Am class. Also drove the No. 76 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola at the Rolex 24 At Daytona race with teammates Nic Jönsson, Ricardo Zonta and Nicolas Minassian to a sixth-place finish.
2010 – Owner/driver of No. 75 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola with teammate Nic Jönsson. Finished fourth at the Rolex 24 At Daytona race, along with co-drivers, Jönsson, Zonta and Braun. Won the “Jim Trueman Award” for being the top Pro-Am driver at the 2010 Rolex 24 race and Montreal. Finished 6th at the Daytona 250, 7th at Montreal, 9th at Lime Rock Park, 10th at Miller Motorsports Park, 11th at Barber, VIR and Watkins Glen 6 Hour, 12th at Mid-Ohio and 13th at the Miami Grand Prix, New Jersey Motorsports Park and Watkins Glen 200. Competed at the 12 Hours of Sebring in Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430 with Jönsson and Eric van de Poele, finishing seventh in GT2. The trio had a DNF at the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans. Krohn and Jönsson finished ninth in class and 16th overall at the ALMS 6 Hours of Monterey race.
2009 – Owner (and driver) of No. 75 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola at Grand-Am Rolex 24 At Daytona. Krohn Racing team collected first win in Proto-Auto Lola (Ford) at New Jersey Motorsports Park on May 3rd and second victory at Watkins Glen in August; Was 2nd at Mid-Ohio. Finished 9th at Daytona July Grand-Am race with van de Poele; Was13th in class/34th overall after an engine component problem at Daytona 24 Hours. Finished 3rd in GT-2 class at the 24 Hour of Le Mans in June and 6th in class, 13th overall at ALMS 12 Hours of Sebring race with Nic Jönsson and Eric van de Poele in Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430 GT.
2008 – Owner (and driver) of 2-car Daytona Prototype team in Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, Krohn Racing - Finished 7th overall at 24 Hours of Daytona in Pontiac Riley. Finished 12th at Homestead-Miami Speedway in debut of Proto-Auto Lola with van de Poele, 8th at New Jersey, 10th at Mexico City and Montreal, 12th at VIR, 13th at Laguna Seca, 14th at the Six Hours of the Glen, Mid-Ohio and Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona, 17th at Barber and 18th at Watkins Glen 200. Currently tied for 13th in DP Team Championship points. Was third in class at ALMS 12 Hours of Sebring with Nic Jönsson and Eric van de Poele in a Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430 GT in March 2008.
2007 - Shared No.76 Krohn Racing Pontiac Riley with Max Papis and Jönsson in Grand-Am Series – finishing 4th and 12th in Protoytpe Team Championship standings with his two-car team. Winner of Jim Trueman Sportsman Award for top independent driver. Four selected rounds of ALMS with Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430GT with three Top 10 finishes; Le Mans 24 Hours with Jönsson and Colin Braun in Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430GT – 2nd in LMGT2. Selected Grand-Am Cup races in Kinetic BMW M3. Partnered with Lola Cars LLC to build new Lola chassis for 2008 Grand-Am competition.
2006 - Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series with Krohn Racing in a Daytona Prototype - 5th at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, finished all but two of 14 races in the Top 20. Debuted at 24 Hours of Le Mans in White Lightning Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR.
2005 - Grand-Am Rolex Series in a Pontiac Riley Daytona Prototype - first career overall victory in the Watkins Glen 6 Hours with Nic Jönsson. Also finished fourth at Homestead. Also won a Grand-Am Cup race with Jönsson in a Porsche 966 at Barber Motorsports Park.
2004 - Grand-Am Rolex Series – 2 races with G & W Motorsport, 5th in the SGS class at Mont Tremblant. Finished 26th in the Grand-Am Cup Series GS Championship - best result of 3rd at Miami. Three races in ALMS with Krohn/Barbour Lamborghini Murcielago GTS – 2nd Sears Point, 4th Portland, and 5th Petit Le Mans
2003 - Finished second in the Panoz GT Racing Series – 2nd Road Atlanta, 3rd Sebring and Road Atlanta, 4 further Top 10 results

Nic Jonsson

Jönsson co-drives with Tracy Krohn, Ricardo Zonta and Colin Braun in the No. 76 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola for the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Also competes in 2012 FIA WEC with Krohn and Michele Rugolo. Has two victories in Grand-Am DP in 2009, along with another podium and two podium finishes in 2008. Has one Grand-Am DP pole in May 2010. Been competing in Rolex Grand-Am Series since 2001. Won Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series Driver Championship in 2011 in ST class. Former IRL and Indy Lights driver. Two podiums in GT2 class at 24 Hours of Le Mans in Ferrari 430 GT. Also competed in NASCAR in 2007.

Collected first Grand-Am Prototype pole position at Lime Rock Park in May. Finished 6th at the Daytona 250, 7th at Montreal, 9th at Lime Rock Park, 10th at Miller Motorsports Park, 11th at Barber, VIR and the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen race, 12th at Mid-Ohio and 13th at the Miami Grand Prix, New Jersey Motorsports Park and Watkins Glen 200. Also running a factory Kia Forte Koup in the ST class of Grand-Am’s Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge Series. 2009 – Driver of No. 76 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola in the Grand-Am Rolex Series, teamed with Ricardo Zonta. Won the May New Jersey Motorsports Park race, his second career DP victory. Collected another victory at Watkins Glen in August 2009. Finished 2nd at Mid-Ohio in June and 5th at Barber in July. At Laguna Seca, started 6th, finished 15th in class after suffering damage in an off-course excursion in the corkscrew. At VIR started 6th, finished 16th in class after suffering damage when hit from behind. Also finished 16th at Daytona July race with Turner. Drove Rolex 24 At Daytona with Zonta and Darren Turner. Finished 18th in class/46th overall after an engine component problem. In June finished 3rd in GT2 class at the 24 Hour of Le Mans and 6th in class, 13th overall at ALMS 12 Hours of Sebring race with Nic Jönsson and Eric van de Poele in Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430 GT.
2008 - Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series Daytona Prototype – Finished 4th overall at 24 Hours of Daytona in Krohn Racing Pontiac Riley with Ricardo Zonta and Darren Turner. Finished 11th in Proto-Auto Lola debut at Homestead-Miami Speedway with Zonta. Had two podium finishes -- at Mexico City and Brumos Porsche 250 at Daytona (both third-place). Finished fifth at Watkins Glen 200, Montreal, Sears Point and Miller; 9th at Laguna Seca and Mid-Ohio, 10th at Six Hours of the Glen, 12th at Montreal, 13th at New Jersey and Barber and 16th at VIR; Tied for 8th in DP Team Championship. Finished third in class at ALMS 12 Hours of Sebring with Tracy Krohn and Eric van de Poele in a Risi-Krohn Ferrari 430 GT in March 2008 and competed at the 2008 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Michele Rugolo

Rugolo joins Tracy Krohn and Nic Jönsson in the No. 57 Krohn Racing Ferrari F458 GTE in the 2012 FIA World Endurance Championship. GTE-Am class winner at the 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans in 2011. Knowledgeable international competitor in the Ferrari 430 GT for over five years.

2011 –Drove with Krohn and Jönsson in selected ILMC races in the Ferrari 430 GTE-Am class. GTE-Am class winner at the two 2011 ILMC U.S. rounds at 12 Hours of Sebring and Petit Le Mans; DNF at 24 Hours of Le Mans and third at 6 Hours of Zhuhai, seventh at 6 Hours of Imola and 6 Hours of Silverstone. Krohn Racing team finished second in ILMC GTE-Am class Team Championship.
2010 – Drove to four victories in the Italian GT championship in the Ferrari 430 GT.
2009 – Continued to drive in the International GT Open Series in two classes, including Super GT, all in the Ferrari 430 GT2 . He captured two victories and finished fifth in the championship.

2007 – Competed in the FIA GT2 Series, where he collected his first podium driving a Ferrari 430 GT2
2006 – Again competed in the Formula 3 Italy Series, finishing fourth in the championship, driving a Dallara F304 (Mugen Honda).
2005 – Moved into the American Le Mans Series (ALMS), driving a Dodge Viper GTS-R. Also competed in the Italian GT Championship in a Maserati GT3, where he achieved two victories in only two races.
2004 – Competed in single-seaters in the Formula 3 Italy, finishing fourth in the championship in a Dallara F304 (Opel). Also ran one Formula 3000 race at his home track of Monza.
2003 – Debuted in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Durango MG Judd in the LMP 900 class, finishing 11th overall. Also competed in the Italian Super Production Car Championship and the FIA Sports Car Championship SR1.
2000-2002 – Stepped up to Formula Renault 2.0 in Italy. Also competed in Formula Nissan in 2002. Drove in his inaugural endurance race at the 6 Hours of Vallelunga in Italy in 2002.
Early Career – Started in go karting a 10 year old in 1992 through 1999. Won the Andrea Margutti Trophy as a Junior karter in 1996.
Personal:
Michele grew up and still lives in Montebellluna, Italy. In addition to racing, he is a racing driver instructor. He is single and his hobbies include snowboarding, tennis, running and music. -
Colin Braun

Braun joins Tracy Krohn, Nic Jönsson and Ricardo Zonta in the No. 76 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola for the 2012 Rolex 24 At Daytona race.

2011 – Ran a limited schedule in the NASCAR Camping World Truck series for Billy Ballew Motorsports; had only 2 starts with 1 top 10. Drove for Starworks Racing at the Rolex 24 At Daytona 24 race in a Daytona Prototype car (retiring early with engine problems). Also drove for Robertson Racing in a Ford GT 40 in GT2 at Sebring (retiring early with engine problems), and Le-Mans test (didn’t get to race as we were first “reserve” entry).
2010 – Driver of No. 75 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola with teammates Tracy Krohn, Nic Jönsson and Ricardo Zonta for the Rolex 24 At Daytona race, finishing fourth. Drove a limited schedule in the NASCAR Nationwide series for Roush-Fenway Racing. Had 5 Top 10 finishes.
2009 – In 25 NASCAR Truck Series races, Colin collected one victory, nine Top 5, 14 Top 10 and five pole positions. Additionally he competed in a single Nationwide Series race.
2008 – Competed in 25 NASCAR Truck races with three Top 5 and eight Top 10 finishes. Additionally he competed in five Nationwide Series race with one Top 5, one Top 10 and two poles.
2007 – Finished second in class (LMGT2) at 24 Hours of Le Mans with Jönsson and Krohn in a Ferrari 430GT. In Grand-Am Series, collected 2 pole positions (Mexico and VIR). Finished 2nd at VIR, Mexico City and Barber. Was third at Daytona Brumos 250, Mid-Ohio and Miller. Debuted in NASCAR with one Nationwide and one Truck Series race and three ARCA races, including a Top 5 finish.
2006 – Made 11 Rolex Series starts for Krohn Racing, finishing 5th at the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Two victories, five podiums, finished in Top 10 in all 11 appearances.
2005 – Competed in five Rolex Series races (two Daytona Prototype starts) with a season-best GT class result of seventh in the Rolex 24 At Daytona. Finished ninth overall at Virginia in a Daytona Prototype.
2004 – Won the Formula TR Pro Racing championship with eight consecutive victories. Received the 2005 Gorsline Scholarship from Sir Stirling Moss.
2003 – Won Fran-Am 1600 Pro Series championship and Rookie of the Year with eight victories. Became youngest U.S. driver to win a professional open-wheel race at age 14 and became the youngest-ever professional open-wheel champion from the U.S.
2001-2002 – Earned one SKUSA amateur championship victory and three KART national championship victories.
Early Career – Earned five victories in World Karting Association competition in 1999 and 2000. Drove in first quarter-midget race at age five. Drove in first kart race at age eight.
Personal:
His father, Jeff, was his crew chief for his first 12 years of competition. His mother, Diane, and brother, Travis, have also served as crew members. Learned the value of feedback by working on his own go-karts and open-wheel cars. Colin currently has a CRG TAG go-kart, with a 125cc engine, and a Birel shifter kart, with which he practices his driving skills. Also has VFR pilot license to fly single-engine planes. Hobbies include going to his own shop in NC to work on his go-karts and working out with his trainer. -
Ricardo Zonta

Zonta co-drives with Tracy Krohn, Nic Jönsson and Colin Braun in the No. 76 Krohn Racing Ford Proto-Auto Lola for Rolex 24 At Daytona. He has two career Grand-Am victories (New Jersey and Watkins Glen) and an additional podium in 2009 with Nic Jönsson and one pole and two podium finishes in 2008. Former Formula One driver for seven years with BAR, Jordan and Toyota. Former Formula 3000 champion.

2002 – World Series by Nissan, including nine victories and the championship title. Earned invitation to join Toyota as Formula 1 test driver for the following years.
2001 – Formula 1 Test driver – Jordan; Third driver for Jordan, testing duties and subbed for Heinz-Harald Frentzen at Montreal following an injury. Frentzen subsequently dropped from the team and Ricardo completed another round.
1999-2000 – Formula 1 – BAR; Three sixth place finishes in 2000. Missed several races in 1999 due to foot injury.
1998 – FIA GT Championship with Mercedes, won second consecutive championship. Formula 1 test driver with McLaren-Mercedes team.
1996-1997 – Formula 3000 (European). Won title and three races in 1997, earning a Formula 1 test with Jordan. Won two races and finished fourth in championship with Draco Racing in 1996.
1994-1995 – Formula 3; Fifth in Brazilian F3 Championship in 1994. Won both the Brazilian and South American F3 Championship in 1995.
Early Career – Started in go karting in various national championships. Moved to single-seater car racing in 1993 in Brazilian Formula Chevrolet Series, where he finished sixth in championship.
